  1. Does this make my ADVC-100 useless?

    Well, there is still good ol' vhs to capture from until the FCC mandates firewire on VCRs.
    Do you remember when TMPGEnc needed an English patch?

  7. Nice link to the FCC post. Read carefully, the FCC notice says that firewire is required on all HDTV cable boxes; not ALL boxes as stated in the topic of this thread.
