Android App for .mp4 reduce file size ???

Can anyone recommend a free or low cost app for Android that can reduce file size of .mp4 files without incurring severe quality loss ?

Good luck. I have never been able to find a good Android video app. The big problem, for me anyway, was trying to save the finished file to a external sd card. Android file system sucks.

I've just upgraded to a no-SD card Android and file-management life is much much easier. I recommend it.

I had the same problem, and there are just too many pretending to be the ultimate solution ... so I searched for one that explicitly mentions ffmpeg. So I was at least able to edit a command line.

After all, I would still prefer PC tools.

Well, maybe there is a workaround to my issue.

There are times where I shoot a minute or two of video at FHD on the smartphone, but I would like to email the .mp4 to someone without having to post it first on cloud server.
So I was hoping to have a way to in-phone reduce it to something emailable without turning it to real junk quality.

Is there a solution other than importing to pc and using pc to resize and email?

If you don't mind working with/experimenting with ffmpeg, like LigH.de mentions, I've been keeping this ffmpeg shell around on my Android phone for the extremely rare on-phone re-encoding attempts:

I think the more recent versions of Android require you to copy your videos to and work in a subdirectory of the DCIM folder, though.
