  1. When I try to convert a certain DivX movie in TMPenc I get a "Illegal floating decimal point calculation order" error at frame 107244. I tried telling it to start converting at fram 107248, but I get the same error.

The movie plays fine, but I cant get it to convert. I cant figure out hot to fix this. Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance,

  2. I have seen this happen usually when you have some other applications working, that sometimes interfers with TMPGEnc and causes it to give that message, i would suggest you try closing everything and just not using the PC while you are encoding.

    1. go under the option pulldown
    2. go to environmental settings
    3. choose the vfapi plugin tab
    4. right click on the directshow plugin
    5. set the priority higher, bump it up one basically.

the directshow plugin should be at a 0 or 1 priority.

    now try and re-encode.

  4. Thanks, I'll give that stuff a try. I'm not convinced that it has to do with using my computer while encoding, since I always get the error at the same frame.

  5. You may have a corrupt file.

This happened to me when converting avi to vcd.

It kept crashing on the same frame.

    Solved by redownloading the avi.
