Is there a program that will allow me to save a *.rm or *.ram file from a known url to the hard-disk? I'm having a shitty connection and can only get frame-by-frame display when I am on-line.

Yes you can do that... but you'll need a particular version of SttreamBox VCR to do it. Do a search in this forum and you should find the information that you need.
