  1. Hi,

just wondering if anyone can help me.

    i have a windows 7 pc Acer AX330
    Driver HL-DT-ST Gh14N
I was burning few disks with out no problem then it just crached on me,
At first i was unable to locate the drive it vanished, so i went to the windows fix it downloaded a fix it too from microsoft for this error and it located my drive. however when i open IMGBURN UP its stuck on "locating SCSI / ADPT devices"

In the windows reporting error in event reviewer it says error "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\CdRom0.
so uninstalled the drive, restarted and it installed and imgburn came back up. within afew minutes it just froze so i went to my computer and if i touch the drive by right clicking it freezes explorer.

i currently get this error in The device, \Device\CdRom0, has a bad block. since reinstalling. & stuck on "locating SCSI / ADPT devices"

    any advice?

    thank you x

may be a loose/bad data cable. or the drive is dying.
