  1. Thought I'd give this a go, first time at ripping DVD to SVCD, used DVD2SVCD, all appeared to work OK. But when I watch the movie, the sound is just slightly out of sync, and instead of ripping the main feature, it's took like a special edition type thing, where interviews with the director and actors pop up whilst the film is playing !!!!

It's still the same length film (1hr 55mins), is there any way round this, or what am I doing wrong ?

Is there any way to see what you've ripped off the DVD, before going through the whole lengthy encoding process ?

    Any help appreciated as always

  2. Panther,

there are 30 or so various methods
to see what you have got before going thru DVD2SVC. I suggest
    you do the following:

    - doubleclick on program files, then DVD2SVCD, then DVD2AVI.
    - double click on DVD2AVI and browse till you find the ripped
movie (assuming you have ripped the movie yourself beforehand)
    - press F5 to run a preview (check for interlacing etc) then stop
the preview and slowly drag the slider across to see key movie
frames. If things look ok then run DVD2SVCD as normal. If not
then you may need to either run another ripper or look at ripping
only sections of the Vob (film files.)
