    I am a newbie here and now using virtualdub newly.My OS is window 7 64 bit. I need a guideline full tutotial how to encode DVD to Xvid in Virtualdub.

    There is one such guide.

    Simply go to the links on the left of the screen under HOW TO and select CONVERT. Than you'll be able to search for whatever type of guide you need.

    Why? Didn't autogk, xvid4psp, etc work?

    Because it's very complex to use virtualdub for dvd to xvid conversion. Several steps because virtualdub doesn't support dvds directly.

    thanks going through it. I needed step by step tutorial of virtualdub for converting dvd to xvid
