First there was the 1982 Seiko TV Watch...but quite bulky with the seperate tv tuner that needed to be attached to the watch.

    Futher reading: http://www.tvhistory.tv/Smallest%20TV.htm

Then the NHJ watch with the built in VHF/UHF tv tuner:

Now there's a couple on the market (or coming soon) with internal memory to play videos, mp3s, voice record and even an FM radio. They appear to be redesigns of those Nano knock offs all over ebay (amv/mtv movie format etc).

The former isn't on the market quite yet but there's a review of the latter here: http://www.engadget.com/2006/08/17/aigos-f209-mp3-video-playing-wristwatch/comments/2126673/

They're all about the same (although personally for features I'd go with the ones that have the built in speaker since I *think* they use a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack) however what sets some apart from others imho is the packaging.

For sheer novelty it'd have to be the dog tag MP4 players. Thanks for reminding me about them - added it to my blog
