    hi, ive notioced the ending credits can be quite long a take up several hundred meg of data, is there anyway to rip them out without effecting the rest of the movie

    Normally the end credits are their own seperate chapter. You could just leave that chapter off of the backup with something like DVDShrink....if you don't mind a rather abrupt ending.
    I'm talking a "movie only" re-author of course.

    You could also use dvdremake to blank out just that last chapter, keeping all menus and structure intact.

  4. Or if you prefer freeware, VobBlanker can also remove that last chapter, or if the end credits are part of a chapter that also includes the end of the movie, you can also cut just the end credits. This also keeps the menus and anything else you might want to keep.

    or.....you could use the Start/End in DVD Shrink to position the 'end' at the beginning of the credits.

    Only in reauthor mode, but if a movie is that long, you should be in reauthor mode.
