    Hi, I need a program to convert DV type 2 files to Dv type 1 files, I found a lot of programs that do the oposit(type 1 to type 2), but nono to do Type 2 to type 1. Can anyone help me out??

    One easy way would be to load the file in Windows Movie Maker and then save as DV AVI. WMM only saves as a Type 1 AVI as far as I know.

    Type 1 to type 2 concerter from ULEAD (freeware tool):

    Ulead DVD Movie Factory will convert both ways and into various other formats as well. Of course, it isn't free though.
