    ReMUXing isn't really what is called for here. ToolNIX will remux without adding FURTHER compression. What I'm talking about is recoding the transport stream components to a matroska file in "LOSSLESS" H.264, AND at a significant savings on file size. Something that ToolNIX cannot do on it's own, as far as I know...

    Given that...

    Let me ask you this. Say you have a transport stream container (.TS file) of 1 audio and 1 video stream -
    the audio stream == AC3 5.1 surround
    the video stream == MPEG4 AVC H.264 9Mbps 720P
    File size == 2.8GB

    Can this be put to a LOSSLESS (i.e. no loss in quality from the original) H.264 matroska file of lesser file size?

    If not, there is no point to this particular conversation...

    If yes, how? That doesn't take 1-2 hours of encode time to complete.
    Just encode it from the command line:
    Code:
    x264.exe --crf 0 --preset medium --output "s:\folder\new.mkv" "S:\folder\input.ts"
    Of course, it will take some time since it is reencoding

    Why are you bringing up a transport stream with h.264+aac? The OP is now getting uncompressed YUV 4:2:2 video and PCM audio from his capture device and saving it with a lossless video codec and no audio compression.
