I have ripped my DVD with Smart ripper ,now I have my 4 decoded Vob files.
What is the best way to produce an AVI file I can use with the panasonic encoder?? or any other Mpeg1 encoder program.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I Tried DVD2AVI save project but I get this .d2v?? + a .wav which id ok for tmpeg but not ok for the panasonic encoder. When I tried save .avi I stopped DVD2AVI when it had got to 8% and already used up 14gigs of harddisk space.
I need a proggy that can produce some sort of standard .avi which I can use in other mpeg encoders.... -
Alternatively, you could use FlaskMPEG to load up your VOB files (you can load the relevant IFO or load the first VOB) and then use the Panasonic plug-in to directly encode to MPEG-1,
There is no need to encode to an intermediary AVI first.
If you use DVD2AVI, you can do what Truman said.
