There are so many ways to rip and encode DVD's its hard to choose which programs to use and what methods to do it. Ripping isn't a problem just use any ripping program to get your .ifo files. However encoding is where all the magic happens. I use Smartripper to rip. Now I want to know what is the best prog. to use for encoding. I currently use either DVDx1.6 or DVD2AVI w/TMPG. Which would be better??? Or is there other programs that are better than these?? i.e. flask
So what do you think is the best way to encode??
Thanx,
Fat J

Hi there,
There is no definate answer to this it is all about prefference i guess. TMPGenc is very good but takes very long time to encode.
CCE is very quick and quality is on par with TMPGenc.. so i guess i would use CCE as the main encoder if i were you... there are packages out there like the one you use that use the CCE encoder...
good luck.
