I have a .ts file which I recorded from the HD TV channels in the UK:
GeneralI was wondering if this video file would be able to be remuxed into an AVCHD DVD without re-encoding since the video stream seems to be H.264. Also, do AVCHD discs support subtitles? What software would I use in Linux Mint Debian Edition 3 to create a disc?

I have a similar question:
I record HD TV on my Technisat receiver.
I would like to trim the beginning, end and possible commercials and burn it to AVCHD as that is a format both my Blu-Ray players understand.
My hope was to do all this without encoding (which I think is what the OP is getting at).
The thread linked mostly just lists tools that usually re-encode (or don't if the file is compliant).
Where I personally am confused (and I admit to not having taken the time to sit down and read through everything) is what codecs are AVCHD compliant (both audio and video) and what tools work without re-encoding for all or most of the steps of the workflow.
I have tried Losslesscut und VirtualDub 2 but they don't work (to be fair, this was several months ago and both have been updated since).
I am also trying to avoid MultiAVCHD simply because it has not been updated in a long time and I am not sure I can get it to work on Windows 10 with the versions of software it requires.
Maybe my needs differ from the OP's but I think they are quite similar.
If I am wrong I will of course make my own thread.

I haven't used it myself but understand people have success doing this with VideoReDo

Just FYI, I am running MultiAVCHD on a Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home without any problems.

Good to know!
I have used it on WindowsXP but have been careful as I didn't want to screw up my other computer... -
You can trim your .m2ts file (present in your avchd structure) with XMedia Recode without reencode
and create an avchd folder with tsMuxer
Both free and portable
