I'd like to be able to split the signal out from the solo HDMI Out from a Sat. receiver box to TWO HDMI feeds, one of these going to the TV as it normally would. The requirements are:
1) High Reliability
2) Negligible Signal Loss or Degradation
3) NOT prone to overheating or risk of other mishaps. (I guess that's an extension of Point 1.)
4) Supports All Current Consumer HDMI Standards.
The cost is somewhat open.
I would imagine this gizmo would have to be powered (?)
Here are some sample items I saw online (or in threads here) and bookmarked, though I don't know if any are appropriate for this task or would be good candidates.

One of the Amazon reviews for one of these devices mentioned burning out a video card with it. Obviously, any real risks of that nature from such a device must be AVOIDED !
If you have personal knowledge of these -- or can suggest better alternatives -- I'd like to hear about it.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Stick with a well known brand that's been around for a while and has a earned a good reputation. CE Labs has made distribution amps for years. If it's good enough for hard duty in showrooms, it's good enough for a living room. Here's a good price on a CELabs 1-in-2-out HDMI distribution amp.
