hi!
i managed to perfectly create a video_from a PAL Xvid file. But I'm still having an annoying problem with NTSC film/3:2 pulldown (Xvid--> video_ts)...the problem being a marked choppiness, sometimes resulting in flickering subtitles. i'm encoding with mplayer, btw, and using the DVD preset with best framerate.
i should also mention that the video_ts is choppy only on DVDPlayer and my standalone player: it works perfectly in VLC and Mplayer. so methinks it's a bitrate issue.
here are the infos:
source:
VIDEO: mpeg4, 560x240, 23.98 fps. AUDIO: mp3, 44100 Hz, stereo, 107 kb/s
result:
VIDEO: mpeg-2, size: 720x480, 23.976 fps, 2994 kbps. AUDIO: mp2, 48000Hz, 224 kbps.
there you go. help please. i'm so impressed with the PAL Xvid --> video_ts that i want to register once this gets ironed out.
thanks!
