We have purchased TotalCode to encode MP4 files to MPEG-DVD. I am looking for DVD authoring program to make my DVD without authoring for regular players and also allow me to add extra data files (the MP4 files) to the same DVD for people to receive the HD files if they want to.

I am really having trouble find a single program to do this. I can find a problem to author to HDD (VIDEO_TS / AUDIO_TS) but then I need to open a second program to then burn the folders and files (MP4) to DVD.

I would love to simplify my workflow with one program to do both. I use to do this with Toast, but we moved from Macs to PCs and having trouble.

Any help or suggestions would be great!

    Thank you,

Normally, if you create a correctly authored DVD file,
you may be able to add some data folders outside of the
VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders that compose a traditional DVD.
But they may only show up on a PC.

But others here may be able to give better advice.

That is right. I can get that to work, but I always need two programs. One to author and one to burn. Just looking for a program that has built into one.

That's the best way to go anyway.

I don't expect your request will get an answer.

The purpose of DVD authoring software is to create DVD files and folders that are compliant with the DVD spec. Although DVD authoring software often allows ISOs or burned DVDs as options for output, the additional files and folders you want to add are not created by the authoring software, and technically, extra files and folders are not a standard feature of authored DVDs. This is the reason why they need to be added outside the authoring software prior to burning with a different program.

Scenarist and (formerly) DVDMaestro can do this. Pretty sure DvdArchitect and Adobe Encore can also.

Happy to be wrong. Did you mean DVD Architect Studio or DVD Architect Pro?

As I recall under Adobe's current subscription model, Encore isn't available by itself. Anyone who wants it needs to obtain a Premiere subscription too. Scenarist and DVDMaestro are defunct.

[Edit]I think older versions of DVD Architect are still for sale from various places, but Magix, the new owner of Sony's Creative Software division, only sells DVD Architect bundled with Vegas Pro.

Scenarist isn't defunct, it just got bought by different company to take advantage of BD4k authoring. Yes maestro is defunct, that's why I said formerly. There are still copies of it floating around the aether.

DVDA pro. Doubt studio could do it.
Yes you need to subscribe to at least PremiereCC in order to dl Encore.

why? drag your video_ts and audio_ts files into imgburn and then drag your folder with mp4s into it also. burn. no time lost, nothing to simplify. p.s. there no such thing as HDD, video_ts plus audio_ts on a dvd is DVD.
