    Hi everyone,

I have a Sony DCRHC96. The software that came with the camera, Picture Package, is pretty useless and doesn't let me upload the full tape to my hard drive. Can someone please tell me what program they are using to upload their Sony DV Camera footage to their computers? I haven't played around with videos and editting in a year or so. What is everyone using/enjoying these days for video editting?

    Thanks all for any help.

Dont use USB to transfer Video to your PC. Instead it is better to use Firewire. ( The cable is not included in the HC96 package). You will get much more quality with Firewire than with USB.
There are a lot of Video-Softwares to transfer your Videos to your PC (Adobe Premiere e.g.). Or you use free Software like "WinDV" for just transfering.
To watch Videos, make sure, that the Videoplayer-Software display the Video correct (interlaced) on your PC. Windows Media Player can do this. With VLC you have to set it manually.
