What app gives the most functionality? I have searched Google play but most don't work on Chromebook.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

While that is an excellent choice for camera recording for chomebooks, that would NOT be a good choice for stream recording (aka capturing an existing internet streaming video). It will only capture secondary sources (what panopto calls everything else besides the main cam & mic) that are non-drm'd/copy-protected, and it will only capture those at LOW framerate (e.g. 5 fps). This is designed that way, as the app/service/company expects those sources to be educational examples not needing higher framerates.

OBS, in Linux mode, might be an option. Or Lightstream.

I have tried a app on Google play Rec - skärminspelare. It almost works fine but sometimes it crashes even if the memory is free. I have a Asus c523n.

Found any more screen recorders? Android apps doesn't seem to fit chromebook often.
