    Guys,

    I know that this is a pretty highly rated DVD player, and Amazon has it on sale for $39.99 after a $10 rebate. The rebate expires 2/16/2004, so it won't last long.

    I found the deal from http://www.dealsites.net

    I don't really need another DVD player, but for this price, should I consider getting a backup?

    why not??

    Isn't this also the reason why some people were killed by being trampled to death in the midwest when Walmart was offering a dvd player for that cheap??
