  1. Hi everyone,

I’ve read many threads on the above, many software recommendations, most of them windows only, but most importantly all of them look very complicated

I would actually like one solution that with a few clicks or with one script to be able to do something that from what I’ve read is very straight forward (downgrading dts 7.1 to Dts 5.1). Demuxing, remuxing etc look very complicated to me... ideally I would like to do all this in one shot.

    Any recommendations?
Video I want to remain intact... just downgrade the audio from dts 7.1 to dts 5.1

Sorry for the repetition... I’ve read articles from the last 5-7 years so don’t know what is the latest crack on this one.

Is it important to convert to DTS 5.1? Would Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC-3) be acceptable?

  4. If it's DTS-HD MA: open such a file in MKVToolNix GUI, select the DTS track, tick "reduce to core" on the right side. Then click "Start multiplexing" (at the bottom).
