Subject: is it possible to take advantage from midi,st3,kar files ?

I'm a newcomer here so please bear with me. Is it possibible create a vcd karaoke using midi,st3 or kar files? How could i create a vcd karaoke?

I would like to say the only thing that I know about MIDI, ST3 and KAR file. Those kind of files are played in a computer by programs like "MIDIMaster Karaoke 3.5", When you play those files they show lyrics in an adjustable-size window with the fonts and colors that you choose. They highlight each word in time so you can follow along.
There are many files like those on Internet.

There are many similar questions in the VCD Forum without reply. If you find out the answer many off us will be grateful.

    Thanks for your attention.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The audio must be KAR and the stills as a cue/bin file."Fireburner" must
be used to make a cd+g,but I could not get the damn thing to work with my writer. What I finally used was Windows Movie Maker to author(768kbps),Arcsoft Photostudio to add text(.BMP),TMPGEnc to convert .wmv to .mpg and Nero enabling menus to burn to vcd.
The end result:Audio good, video poor(due to Movie Maker low bitrate)

    Good luck

I'm very graceful for your advices.

Let me see if I understood you .

    1) Kar Files are cue/bin file
    2)"Fireburner" should burn Kar file
    3) you tried it. But it didn't work
    4) You tried another set of programs
    5) You read the kar file with Windows Movie Maker. It didn't "understand" the lyrics. So you wrote the lyrics using Arcsoft Photostudio to add text (.BMP). Next you put the lyrics and the song together (how?). The file was a wmv file.
    6) You used TMPGEnc to convert .wmv to .mpg
    7) You used Nero enabling menus to burn to vcd.
Finally, the vcd karaoke was ready .
    Thanks for your attention.

You have everything correct except I didn't use KAR files to import to
WMM. simply imported my .bmp's and .wav files in WMM and synch.
I use .bmp because it's uncompressed and the end result is less
    pixelated.
