  1. i have an USB webcam Kodak ez200
    is it possible to create VCD by capture webcam video?
    its specification
    30fps@cif 352x288
    26fps@vga w/ 500mhz system
    15fps@vga w/ 266mhz system


    However, i dont know why, it comes out that the maximum rate i can capture video is just about 15fps
    its not smooth enough for vcd

    my hardware configuration
    amd athlon xp 1800 +
    768MB ram
    60GB 7200rpm harddisk
    windows xp


    If webcam is able to create vcd
    will it help if i buy another webcam?
    or its the problem of my hardware configuration?

    You should put your hardware configuration into your computer profile. Will help for future questions.

    In general, you can turn a webcam video into VCD if you want. The framerate can be converted to a VCD compatible format. Yes, it may be a litttle jerky. If your webcam is using USB 1, the framerate will be slow.

    You also didn't say what format the webcam is outputting. Makes a difference. I run similar videos through VirtualdubMod and the output with frame conversion is watchable.

    Expirement a little. Most of the software in the 'Tools" area to the left are freeware or trialware.
