DVD recorder firewire and firewire PCI card

Hi,

Does anybody know if using a connection between :

1. the DVD recorder FIREWIRE input AND
2. a FIREWIRE PCI card input/output

will allow any VIDEO or any FILE transfer from PC to DVD recorder?

The few models I've seen are one way computer DV in if it looks like and talks like a DV camcorder. No output.

I'm all ears for other models.

So then , I can still copy files from my PC to a DVD disk using my DVD recorder (just like I would with a DVD writer) ?

I play from Vegas or Premiere timeline to DVD recorder (IEEE-1394 in). WinDV can do it as well.
