Are m2t captured by HDV split better than mpeg files captured by PP CS3?

Better? Camcorder captures should be equal. There is no encoding going on, just stream capture.

I was reading in the HV20 forum links you gave me and someone using PP CS3 said that they capture with HDV SPlit - I wondered why.

Thanks for those links, ed. I can edit the HV20 1080 24P (24F) stuff, because it's just a 24P pulldown 60i file. That's fine for me, as long as it looks like 24P. I'm just making DVDs, avi's and mov's etc. Why is actual 24P so important, for transfer to film?

    Thanks again,
