When I burn dvds with Nero 2019 on windows 10 machine, the video freezes or stutters during the last 30 minutes. I have tried Nero help, and they haven't given me any workable solutions. I have reloaded it and in fact had the same problem with 2018 version, so I upgraded to the 2019 version thinking it would solve the problem but it didn't.

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Best advice:

    1. Try different blank media
    2. Do not use Nero (I am quite serious) for burning

If you must use that POS to author the dvd then just create dvd folders (assuming it can) or an ISO and use imgburn for the actual burn. But still use quality blank media.

For simple, no frills, projects look no further than AVStoDVD or DVDStyler.

For more advanced, paid for, projects both DVD Architect Studio and Corel DVD Movie Factory should suffice.

Also take a look at the software section in this site (link at top) for others. In fact most offer a 30 day trial period so you lose nothing by trying them out.

This is usually a sign of crappy media. There's only one manufacturer of decent media left in the market, Verbatim. Use their AZO DataLife (not Life) discs:

And don't burn the full 4.3 GB. Shoot for 4.0 to 4.1 GB.

It does seem to be more likely to be a media problem than an encoding problem. Try with better media (e.g. Verbatim as recommended by jagabo above).

If the problem persists then you try with a different encoder or transcoder.
