I have setup virtual dub per doom 9's guide but have run into problems. When in capture mode i cannot select a compression codec. The only time i can choose a compression codec is when first opening vdub and going to video/compression. Secondly and most irritating is the fact that after capturing video in small blocks to test the capture there is no audio. i found this out after capturing 1.5 hours af video to a .avi file, rendered it w/tpgencplus and burning it with tpgenc dvd author. I have been playing with this for a week now and cannot get the audio to come through when playing the captured .avi file in windows media player.
