Converting a video from H.265 to H.264, XMedia Recode is not retaining the original aspect ratio of 2.39:1. For some reason the resultant video aspect ratio is changed to 1.78:1. Is there a "retain original aspect ratio" tic box that I've missed. I can change the aspect ratio of the video when played on my computer, but unfortunately I can't when I watch via WDTV Live Media Player. Help appreciated.

You could always run the output through Avidemux

    audio/video:copy
    output format: mp4 muxer
    configure/force aspect ratio

Is that to say that there is no way for XMedia Recode to retain aspect ratio of the original? With large file sizes it's a rather time-consuming process -- preferable that it only be done once.

Thanks @Davexnet. I'm unable to upload an image [?!?] which would more clearly show you the problem, but my most recent version of XMedia Recode gives me only two options for aspect ratio: 4:3 and 16:9 in the Filters/Preview section. What version are you using??
