  1. Here is something that I am trying wrap my head around. I am currently working on a project for BDMV/DVD. More than 95% of the video is HDV 1440x1080p29.97. My workflow involves exporting from PP as lossless intermediates in the same 1440p resolution. Then I downscale to either 1280x720 or 720x480 in Avisynth before encoding with x264 or HCenc.

Now, I also have some DSLR footage ("extra content" if you will) that I have inserted into to some of the timelines. However, this is 1920x1080p29.97 footage. Therefore, if I just insert the footage as-is then I suppose PP will resize the DSLR footage on export using its internal resizer (bicubic?).

So my question is this. Would it be better to resize myself prior to importing in PP? That way I can bypass the PP resizer? IOW, use Avisynth and something like Spline36? Because I really have no control over how PP exports the DSLR portion of the timeline.

    TIA
