AVI Bit depth: 8 bits.
QTGMCing to MP4.
Should I keep 8 bits, not to switch to 10 bits looking for a bit better quality?
Thanks.

(.mp4 and .avi is a container format not video formats to that information is useless at best)
- 10bit processing usually is slower and power consuming to encode and decode.
- 10bit formats might be less supported by decoders.
- 10bit processing usually improves compression and lowers the chance of banding getting introduced through compression.
So, if the typical decoders for the video format you encode to supports 10bit, I would use 10bit encoding.users currently on my ignore list: deadrats, Stears555
