Is there any kind of 'test card' video that I can play on my PC (with Blu-ray drive and TMT5 software) to allow me to set the optimum settings for video by tweaking TMT5's settings for colour, saturation, hue, gamma?

Something akin to the old BBC 'test card'.

    Thanks

Another useful chart is the Bell Nuit HD test chart. You can quickly set black and white levels.

Since TMT5 "plays" pictures (jpg, png, gif, bmp...) make sure those examples are in one of those formats first, and then just open them in TMT5. What's the difficulty in that?

  5. A warning: a media player displaying images may not display the same levels and colors as when displaying video.

If that does happen to be the case, use an NLE to encode a short segment of video (preferrably lossless) using a picture sequence. Then play the segment...
