Gentlemen

I know that the elgato is frowned upon by most here but they were half price on amazon just before christmas and after reading @Xhumeka’s comparison thread, I decided to purchase one. I have a box of low quality vhs, mainly tv recordings from the 80’s/90’s that had been stored in the attic, so the best device isnt essential.

Anyway, Im using windows 11 and after downloading the drivers, the device was still not being found by the software.

I had a look in device manager and the elgato video device had the message “windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware”.

I uninstalled and redownloaded the drivers but still the same message.

Now I have managed tho get around the problem by turning off the memory integrity setting in windows security. Windows now recognises the drivers and the elgato works fine.

But when i try to turn memory integrity back on, I cant due to incompatible drivers. I’m guessing that i have to delete the elgato drivers before i can turn back on memory integrity?

Gents, is it safe to leave memory integrity off?
