burn in title for music video

wanting to add a title for a utube music video ive made for a friend.. but he wants the text to be the same ones used on mtv/bet etc,.. wanting to know how one could go about adding that for premiere.. any assistance appreciated,... cheers

Find the font used in mtv/bet or whichever you want , download & install it, add it in premiere's titler


If you need help identifying a specific font, go to some font forums and ask, post a screenshot

found kabel-black which was used my mtv in the 90s.. looks good...

You can tweak font styles in an illustration program. (Vector Graphics). You can trace too.

Along with an Illustration app (as budwzr suggests), the best app for designing your own, modifying/customizing, converting, etc is FontLabs' Fontographer. I've used it lots to go from a client's logo art into something that can be used universally in any paint, vector, word processing, dtp, NLE, 3d animation, etc. app. Invaluable.

it lacks the exact nature of the music vid lines though... for one, im using a percentage of the font size, not the actual font size.. im not sure of the positioning.. and im not even 100% sure kabal black is the correct font...

where as this is the old mtv font... doesnt look the same,

read that the artist is in bold 14, and title and director is in bold 12

Do you have an example of the MTV fonts or text you want to emulate ? Maybe on youtube? I think they've changed their style over the years

For the text, you probably have to adjust the characteristics tracking , kerning etc... If you post an actual sample those font experts should be able to tell you those things

although would be down to add a newer font to the clip... i had a real hard time finding any of the fonts at all...
can anyone assist regarding some of the other used fonts/newer fonts...

I used the Kabel Black to edit my music videos, but I had to modify the font style to be similar as the oficial one. I recently created an Instagram profile to post them. Check it out. @tvsvideos (old @oldmtvideos)
