Anyone know of a DVD player that allows fast forwarding & rewinding through a DVD-MPEGISO file? Obviously this is possible with DVD-video discs, but I’m not sure if it is with MPGISO files. If so, what sort of fast forwarding speeds are you getting?
I’m looking for a new DVD player and since my PVR can transfer recordings to a PC via USB, I figured it would be useful to be able to burn the recordings as data discs with MPG files and save the time of authoring them as DVD-Video discs. I only want to view once and then reuse the disc; otherwise I would take the time to author a DVD-Video. Cheers.

It will vary by player. I frequently burn avi and mpg files (600MB-1GB) to dvd and watch them with my Philips DVP642. My ff speeds are 2, 4, 6, and 8x.
