  1. i have written about this before. I am using DVDFab to copy a tv series, however, for this particular series the copying process never completes. There are eight discs. For each disc the copying process will stall out at 51%. I will let this go on for over 24 hours and it will increase to 52%. I have tried MakeMKV, but NO luck. With MakeMKV one episode will copy with a faint audio, and the others have no video.

Also, the discs are not scratched or smeared,

Is there a way to copy the discs with DVDFab?

    Thank you.

Have you tried a new DVD drive ?

  8. That could be the drive is not recognizing the layer break properly. Do as davenet suggested and try an different drive.

Have you tried playing the dvds on the pc with VLC? If that doesn't work then, as OldMan64 noted, it is most likely layer break issue. If the drive is more than a few years old it could be going bad. As davexnet said, try a new drive or you could try cleaning the laser lens.
