My default search engine used to be Google, and was replaced by another - DEALWIFI.
They have uninstallation instructions. I run them but apparently they don't work and
that engine is still there. What must I do to eliminate this and to return to Google?

P.S. I also used Malwarebytes but it didn't solve.

Try uninstall it in safe mode. And ignore uninstall instructions from them. And if you will have it in addons too remove it too.

Restart press F8 and then choose -> windows safe mode. Uninstall as normal program. Control panels -> add remove software.

Hech54 : I solved the problem with your suggestion.

Bernix : I couldn't use your advise because the program didn't appear in Control Panel -> Uninstall Program

Thanks very much Hech54 and Bernix.

Actually, he didn't say that Google didn't work.

Mystart(dot)dealwifi(dot)com is a browser hijacker, so when you type in google.com you can get routed to dealwifi or some place else. It's a pretty common and have had it happen twice to me in the past decade. And Hech54 telling him to use google was shortsighted, considering it's pretty obvious he couldn't. Might have been better to list off a bunch of search engines, which dealwifi might not target, but we already know it targets google.

Try a different browser...and always disable java script unless you are on a trusted site.

The second time in a few days I have a similar problem:

My default search engine used to be Google, and was replaced by another - NUESEARCH.
What must I do to eliminate this?

I also have a program ADBLOCKER I don't know how it appeared. I uninstalled it ( Control Panel-> Uninstall Programs )
but it appeared again few seconds afterwards. What can I do? My OS is Windows7. My Avast Free blocks this ADBLOCKER
    but it continues there.

It may be time for something stronger....Look into ComboFix and ADWCleaner(both can be found here):
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/combofix/

    READ the instructions CAREFULLY.

Finally, Hech54, I removed those threats from my PC ( I hope ). With ADWCleaner.

    Thanks again for your help.

    I continue with other problems:

When I open pages in Internet I'm invaded with undesirable adds.
My Free Avast doesn't take any convenient actions. The programs
Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner also doesn't do anything. What can
I do to cancel and prevent these avalanche of adds?

    Thanks for your help.

There's Adblock Plus. However many websites now use anti-ad blocker measures. They don't allow someone running an ad blocker to use the website until the ad blocker is disabled.

UBlock, or/and a custom hosts file.

If you have K-Meleon, use F7 to enable Javascript only when strictly necessary.

  19. This thread brings back memories (in not a good way) when I used Windows as my primary OS and used to have to deal with this type of garbage. Now the only time I have to deal with it is if my mother's computer has a problem and even then I usually let me brother deal with it, I just don't the patience for this type of crap anymore.

But, hech54, in that case ( Win XP Pro ), we can't run software that only works with Windows 7 isn't it?

I don't know. All I know is I run XP with Avast Free Home, MalWareBytes, SuperAntiSpyware and SpyWareBlaster and do not have virus, hijacker or malware problems.
