  1. hi all!

    i cant play a m2ts file
(i used real alternative but nothing, same using powerdvd8!!!)

looks like i can play m2ts file with powerdvd8 that have only AC3 tracks, but not m2ts files that have DTS or TRUE-HD tracks...

the strange thing is that (if i remember well) i was able to play m2ts before and
    i had installed:

    -k-lite codec
    -ffdshow codec
-nero 8 lite (with blu-ray activacted)

-now i have disinstalled k-lite codec (as suggested) to use ripbot
-installed nero 9 (with blu-ray activacted)

maybe i have to roll back?
or someone here can give me a hand?
maybe i need some codecs or i make some mistake...

    thx!

you need powerdvd8 "ultra" version to play those audio formats. if you have the ultra version it may have been messed up with the codec pack removal. try uninstalling it and a re-install.

  3. MPCHC has DTS decoding. I don't think it has True-HD though.

no one here on this forum ever advises anyone to install any codec pack. they can cause all sorts of problems. only install the codecs you need individually. ffdshow is fine.

sorry. -- vid = video -- i was suggesting for you to try a different movie with trueHD to see if it was the file you were using that was bad.
