  1. For some reason there's an audio delay in this video which took around 12 hours to encode.

    It has been deinterlaced, but I can't see why that would be a problem. Since I have done this countless other times with interlaced sources.

    I use Staxrip and I tried encoding some other videos and there the audio is in sync, but on this specific video it isn't. I have the same settings on as I normal have.


    I would like to know how to stop this in the future.

    Also is it possible to put a audio track on a video file, without having to wait for example 12 hours again for it encode every frame.

    Many muxers have the ability to add an audio delay (use a negative delay to advance the audio). For example MkvToolnix-GUI. Open your file, highlight the audio track, set the delay, save the result. It will only take a seconds.
