Searching didn't yield much on the subject, is there a thread on editing HEVC 10bit HDR already? I am getting the impression the simple cut-at-keyframe type of editing we're used to doing in avidemux on h264 video isn't available to edit h265 HDR? The source video is from a Galaxy Note 20 ultra, 2160p@30 HDR.

I tried xmedia recode, but the output was re-encoded and not 10 bits. Shotcut looks like a re-encode only solution. I didn't try converting to the intermediate, large-size editing format. Perhaps this is the only answer to edit h265 HDR - convert to the editing file format first?

I'm open to all recommends, open-source or commercial.

Simple cut on keyframes, no re-encode, works OK for me in Avidemux.
    Did you try it?
