  1. Hello all,

    As the title suggests I am after advice on how to change an MKV file audio component from DTS-MA to AC3

    My new LG CX77 OLED doesnt support DTS-MA..

    I'm not familiar at all with with how to use programs with scripts either unfortunately.

    There are different ways to do it.

    The most straight forward solution would be StaxRip

    Here a quick picture guide:

    1. Open your video -> Select "Single File"

    (if a window opens with asking you to install a dependency, install it, then close the window)

    2. (1) Select your video output - (2) Set the Video Codec to "Copy/Mux"

    3. (1) Click on the Audio Codec - (2) Set it to AC3

    You can repeat Step 3 for the other Audio Track if you have one.


    If you don't like this approach, or if you are not on Windows, you can try ffmpeg:

    Code:
    ffmpeg -i yourvideo.mkv -c:v copy -c:a ac3 -b:a 640k out.mkv
