Alright, I need the exact same melody, just different notes, the ending is... bizarre! The piano sounds good, but the extra stuff sounds a bit synthy/church-like - sorry, not good with music terms! Could you get the piano to be the exact same and then work from there? I mean, if you change the notes but keep the same melody, would that work? I guess it wouldn't sound different enough?

Hahaha, yeah, that's my goal, to faithfully recreate the original, then rearrange the melody within the same time length.

I'll do my best, but I'm learning too, and that really slows me down. Musically, the piece is very simple, but duplicating the "feel" of it is difficult for me.

    Still working on it though.

To be honest, I prefer just the piano, and I don't really think it needs much more than that, cos all of the key parts in the original are piano, even the ending. It's not that it's bad, it sounds "twinkly" but it's probably as close as you can get without being exactly the same!

I just tried fitting it to the video and the ending came in a bit quicker than it should do. I slowed it to 94% and it sounded better in general! To nitpick further, it did sound a bit tinny on the speakers...

Alright yeah, I like it, but get rid of the ending, and put those last few notes back - there's about 5 missing isn't there? Then that little sting at the end which is about 3?

I found the tabs online if that helps, I'll PM them to you.

Still some notes missing? Hahaha, ok I'll go over it all again.

You just want the piano version with missing notes and the diddly ending chopped off, right?

Yeah. But the original diddly ending sounds like 3 piano notes to me? Then after, would it be possible to swap different notes in to get the same melody but different pitch?

Yeah, I was trying that out a little, and that's not such a piece of cake. After listening over and over to that ditty, nothing else sounded quite right. It's harder to get creative with an existing piece, but I'll try. That was my plan anyway.

Hey, there are some notes missing. My brain is fried right now though. I'll try again in the AM.

    That's why it's short.

See if this is OK musically, and I'll try to change the arrangement. I have to clear my brain for a few minutes, then I'll see about the credits music.
