  1. I've been using the Verbatim DVD+R DL discs for about a month now with no problems. Looking at the actual disc and the case they come in, I see there is "RW" black logo on them. I thought that the "RW" always stood for ReWritable but I know those aren't RW discs. Anybody else notice this?

RW is the symbol of the DVD Alliance, the promoters of the +R(W)/+R DL format. That's why it's on there.

  3. Lets hope the car manufacturers don't get wise to this misleading marketing ploy - look how many prestige marks are owned by the likes of Ford and Proton...

I have noticed from the first day i had my burner.

ALL Verbatim ( DVD9 or 5, R or RW ) have that logo on.

As stated above that particular logo means something entirely different to the -RW that you know and love as ReWriteable.

    8) :P
