nero and shrink

ive had nero 7 since 07 and of course use dvd shrink with it ( shrink 3.2) I have a windows 8 64 bit laptop and for some reson it no longer does what it is suppose to do... just frexxes up at 8 0r 9 % if even doen a full reformat and reinstalled everything can some one help

Have you tried rip with something else like dvdfab decrypter or anydvd? Then shrink with dvdshrink.

Or try other shrinkers like dvdrebuilder.

That's a really old version of Nero, so I'm not too surprised it doesn't work well with W8 64. If you are using Nero for decryption, try what Baldrick mentions.
If you are using Nero for burning, try Imgburn. It does a much better job than Nero for that.

Nero 7 is compatible with Win 8, but you may have to get some updates. Why do you use Shrink, doesn't your Nero 7 include Recode? Recode from Nero 7 has some bug fixes that are useful for people that use it with AutoGK.
