Hopefully someone will be able to help.

I'm trying to make a DVD from various recording's I've made with a DVD recorder but these recordings do need a certain amount of editing by way of fade in/out's, transitions etc and then placed back onto a fresh disk in a completely re-organised way.

My video editor is Premiere Elements. What is the best way I can achieve this without losing the original quality of these recordings?

DVD was not meant for any advanced editing but some tools are designed for just that like Mpeg Video Wizard, it can do advanced editing and will not reconvert the entire video.

But if you still would like to use Premiere Elements try VOB2MPG on the DVD and import the mpg. If it doesn't like the mpg convert to it dv-avi with for example Virtualdub or MpEG StreamClip.

    And I think answered this yesterday...yes https://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=323127&highlight=
