  1. This is for Virtualdub.
Not a guide, but more of a tip-type-thingie

We've all had this error message "the audio streams have different sample sizes, 3 vs. 6"
or whatever these two numbers might.
Now, usually you just save the two videos with the two audio streams as WAV, then append them, and then save in whatever compression or format you want.
But recently when I did JUST that, I STILL got an error saying:

"the audio streams have different sample sizes, 2 vs. 4"

At first I was completely amazed, because joining videos with blown up WAVs had never been a problem! I then got the bright idea to load them into to AVIcodec where it appeared that the one was mono, while the other one was stereo!

So, I saved the one with stereo as mono, and all went okay then.

I suppose you can do it the other way round too, from mono to stereo, but a) that's not real stereo, and also, b) I had 16 videos with mono and just one with stereo, so there.

Hope this helps, cause I haven't really seen this problem anywhere.

But that could be all the crap in me eyes, of course. Break it to me gently.......

and yes, for some illogical reason I didn't wanna use AviDemux.
