I was using Smart Buy DL discs for a while and they were pretty good. Not a bad failure rate. But lately, they've been out of stock on them so I took a chance and tried these Tiger brand discs I found on ebay. They suck. The media ID on them is CMC MAG-D03-64

So I decided to buy some Verbatim as I read they're supposedly the best. They just arrived today and I look at the media ID and it's the same as the Tiger, CMC MAG-D03-64

I'm definitely not going to use these Verbatims and will return them promptly since they have the same media ID as these lousy Tiger discs.

So my question, is what is the best inkjet printable dual layer DVD disc to buy at present, that's readily available? Thanks!

You must've bought Verbatim's Life Series, not their own AZO discs.

Ahhhhhh, it seems you're right, it does say Life Series. Darn it. So I guess it's these I should be seeking?:

Any other suggestions for quality discs or don't bother with any except the Verbatim AZO ?

EDIT: I should mention that the discs need to be white inkjet printable, so the above won't work for me. Seems the AZO isn't available in this format?

For DL, it's Verbatim or bust: http://amzn.to/2Fydqwu
    Just under $1 per disc.
Eh, not bad. Price it's been at for years now, for a legit MKM disc.

Verbatim DataLife Plus is professional-grade media. It uses Verbatim's AZO dyes.

Thanks, I've gone ahead and ordered them. Any idea what the media ID should be on these when I check them?

The information I found on the ImgBurn forum says that it is MKM-003-00
