    I can view what I am trying to capture, but when I try to capture it gives me an error that says:
    Cannot build capture graph!
    Anyone know what this means?

    it would help if you told us what capture tool, settings, to what format and what capture cards you are using.

    I get this too - all the time in Power VCRII v 2 and 3.

    It doesn't seem to matter what settings are used - it just drives you nuts

    i get it in TV view 5.4 no matter what settings are used..

    I also got this and it seemed to be driver issue. Since you are using TV View 5.4 I can assume you have an CPH050/CPH060 card, usually sold by Phoebemicro, Askey and many others. These drivers are a piece of s**t.
    Try the driver found on http://sourceforge.net/projects/btwincap/
    You will need to get some tech specs of your capture device, specially the tuner brand/model.
    In my case (CPH060) my problems were completely solved.
