  1. I recently purchased a DVD burner with my new Dell system, and it kicks ass. But unfortunately all I have to burn on is one DVD-RW that came with my system, and being from Wyoming I have not been able to locate DVD-Rs or DVD RWs. I was wondering what people out there use, and what is the biggest DVDR or RW I can get. I know standard is 4.7 gig, but I need something bigger for direct copying. Thankx
    Wow Dude, Wow.

Well, DVD discs dont come larger than waht u have, unless u
purchase a double sided disc. So for any projects u might have,
over 4.7gb, you will have to split over more than one disc/side.

I personally use discs from www.cdrecordables.com, and have
not had any problems at all using them on my Pioneer A03,
and my Toshiba standalone unit. Some folks have had problems
    with them, so check around.

As i said they work for me, and they are only $2.00 each, easily
    the cheapest you can get.

  4. I suggest keeping a few dvd-rw's to do your test burns for playback to see if all is well, and then burning to dvd-r if it's all good for final permanant burn.

Speed, sorry for the typo, the URL is www.cdrecordable.com

Try this link for the discs i was referring to..which are actually
$2.39 each. Try one, and see if they work for you. I've had no problem
    at all with my players.
