recently remove a logo from a movie using "Region Remove" in Virtual Dub.
when I view the movie on PC with WMP10...I could see traces of the fillter away logo in the form of " color block " that doesn't really blend in with the background. Result not very good.
But when I play the movie on TV using a Dvd-player...I barely could see any traces of the remove away logo. The logo look completely erased.

    Why the difference?

d't tell me I view the movie closer on PC...that's why.

  2. Viewing it on the PC , you will see more detail, then the TV.

  3. The logo probably is partially in the TV overscan area as well.
If you select "Soft Edges" in Region Remove, you can blur it even more, and it will be even less noticable.

Is there a tutorial for "Region Remove" somewhere? I'm not really sure what the options mean like - " Ignore Edges - Top, Left, Right, Bottom"

    tks.

  5. There's no tutorial that I know of, it's not that difficult to use.
Ignore edges means if the filter is right next to the edge, you can choose to ignore the edge to avoid the filter actually picking up an edge pixel, and stretching it across.
Play with it a bit, you'll catch on.
