    I go into the area on a video where you mark it public/private, and there's a place to add contact lists, but it keep saying I don't have a contact list. By contact list I assume they mean Friends, etc.? Not showing up.

    When I go to send someone on my friends list a video, the private vids don't show up in the dropdown list.

    Am I omitting a step?

    I finally got to the bottom of it. You have to use the "label" tab over the center column, then "create new label" then add people to that etc. Once you do that the labels show up in the private vid sharing area. It's confusing because there's also a "create new label" that shows up under the "New" tab to the left but that doesn't work the same way.

    It's badly laid out and not explained well in the YouTube info IMO.
